Collegiate League

Florida Diamond Pros

The Florida Collegiate Summer League is a Wood Bat Baseball League with six teams in Central Florida. FCSL was founded in November 2003 to provide a place in Florida for college players to play pure wood bat baseball against top-level competition, in a festive community environment. FCSL is one of eight leagues affiliated with the National Alliance of College Summer Baseball (NACSB) - an alliance of college summer wood bat leagues which operate following NCAA legislation.

The FCSL is the only NCAA college summer league located in Florida. They have drawn over 2000 fans to a game. For our fifth season, FCSL will again operate teams in Central Florida, giving 175 college players from Florida and around the country the opportunity to compete in our summer league, as well as job opportunities for 21 coaches, summer internships for 28 college students and recent graduates, and affordable family entertainment for 6 communities!

The Florida Collegiate Summer League has created a Collegiate Development League, separate from the six FCSL teams. The CDL operates under the FCSL umbrella, and is designed for baseball players that are interested in developing their baseball skills as well as learning about baseball at the college level. With all games played in Central Florida, the CDL allows players to: procure summer jobs, take summer classes, workout locally, minimize travel to games, and experience college level baseball near home.

The Players - CDL players have completed their senior year of high school or their freshman year of college, and will be playing college baseball in the fall of 2008.

Why the CDL - The CDL provides young college players the opportunity of playing time against solid competition. For the graduated high school seniors committed to playing college baseball, the CDL is a chance to play against college competition, to learn what it takes to succeed at the next level. Players will work with college strength and conditioning coaches, and hear about the college baseball environment from NCAA compliance officers and local college coaches, as well as receive a SPARQ testing with evaluation on Opening Day.
