The Florida Diamond Pros Organization will be holding a workshop for all the 2011 and 2010 players in the organization that have not registered with the NCAA National Clearinghouse.
As high school athletes look to play sports at the next level, confusion easily arises regarding the NCAA Clearinghouse.
It is essential though that all prospective athletes understand the process in order to be deemed eligible to participate. Registration with the Clearinghouse is required for those wishing to play at the Division I and II level.
What does being eligible mean? Upon graduation, an athlete that has completed the required core courses, obtained the minimum grade point average, and achieved the necessary standardized tests scores will be declared eligible. Thereby, he will be permitted to participate in DI and DII athletics beginning in his freshman year.
During our workshop we will guide all the parents through the process and register players during the meeting and provide them with their own very user name and password with the NCAA National Clearinghouse. We will also provide you with an Official NCAA Initial Eligibility Review Packet that was provided to us by the NCAA.
Parents and Players this is a very important part of Collegiate Athletics and the Florida Diamond Pros will be guiding everyone through the process this week before we leave to Ft. Myers.
