The Florida Diamond Pros are once again setting the bar high and exceeding the expectation of our mission statement, parents and players; and we’re extremely proud to announce that we added yet another key member to what some may say is a professional staff for summer showcase baseball. 

We are extremely excited to announce the addition of FDP Team Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jonathan Hersch, M.D., F.A.A.O.S. to our staff.  

Dr.Hersch specializes in sports medicine, and arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, knee, ankle and elbow including arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization, and arthroscopic ACL reconstruction. Dr. Hersch also has a special interest in treating arthritic conditions of the shoulder and knee and performs shoulder replacements. In addition, Dr. Hersch specializes in cartilage restoration and transplantation. 

Dr. Hersch currently serves as head team physician for St. Thomas University and Coral Springs Charter High School. He is a member of the ATP medical committee and serves as the Medical Director of the International Tennis Championships in Delray Beach and the ATP BMW Championships in Sunrise. 

Not only is Dr. Hersch part of the FDP staff but his participation with the program will see him on the field, evaluate players before the season begins, provide summer season injury prevention advisement and if any player needs immediate orthopedic care it will be available.  

Once again the Florida Diamond Pros are extremely proud of this Staff and the addition of Dr. Hersch will provide our players in the program with the ultimate care and keeping them healthy throughout the summer.
