The Florida Diamond Pros is proud to announce that the American Amateur Baseball Congress has awarded the Florida Diamond Pros Baseball Club the right to host the 2010 AABC 18U Connie Mack and 16U Mickey Mantle Regional Qualifier.

It’s a great achievement and honor having the rights to host both of these events stated FDP VP and Head of Player Development, Tom Duffin. The Diamond Pros are not new to AABC Connie Mack or Mickey Mantle because for the last three years Coach Harold Vaca has be been responsible for both Connie Mack and Mickey Mantle Summer Leagues and the Florida "State Tournaments."
 
Under Coach Harold's direction the past three years both the summer league and state tournaments have grown and we have seen more teams interested in our league and last year was one of the best yet for the Connie Mack -- almost having two teams representing Florida in the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, New Mexico.  

After three years of hard work in 2009 AABC not only awarded Coach Harold with TWO Regional Qualifiers but he was also nominated 2009 AABC VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR by AABC Florida State President Jim Cowen.

The Regional Qualifiers will allow AABC teams the right to an automatic bid to the Southeast Regional Tournament in Memphis, Tennessee for the Connie Mack and the Southeast Regional Tournament for Mickey Mantle in Dodger Town Vero Beach, Florida.  

2009 has been great for this organization and looking forward to a great 2010 summer season and now the program has more to celebrate and faced with new challenges but the program is more than ready.
